Pineapple B*stard

When we first designed the initial range of pop-ups we intended to steer away from doing a pineapple. They have been done to death, and let’s face it, everyone does one in some shape or form.

There is no doubt that it is a great flavour and that the acidic, citrus, zesty profile is very effective as a colder water/early spring attractor. If we were going to release one at all, then it had to be as impressive as the rest of our range.

This recipe had been kept to a close circle who at the turn of the millennium were using it to great effect on Redesmere. At the time, when many were casting out a standard pineapple, this edge contributed to the capture of most of the highly sort after ones from what was an extremely pressured water. Every time the onlookers saw the net cord slip under another resident, the murmurs of  'I bet that on another of those b**tard pineapples', and dare we say it; the Pineapple B*stards were born. 

Just remember, not all Pineapple Pop Ups are equal!
